From Sheffield take the A625 towards Castleton, go through Hathersage to Hope.
From Manchester take the motorway to Stockport then the A6 towards Buxton. After the Chapel bypass take the A623, turn left on B6049 through Bradwell. Turn left to Hope at the T-junction.
From the South leave the M1 at junction 29 to Chesterfield. A619 to Baslow then A623 towards Stockport. Turn right on B6049 through Bradwell then left at the T-junction to Hope.
In Hope take the Edale Road (opposite the church and by the side of the Old Hall pub), carry on passed the Hope primary school which is on your left continue for a about 200yds then turn right down a lane marked "no through road" (Hope cemetery also called Bowden Lane) If you go passed the Cheshire Cheese pub you have missed the turning.
Cross a little stone bridge carry straight on and go under a railway bridge. Turn right immediately after the bridge (signposted "Twitchill Farm Cottages") carry on up the hill over the cattle grid and go to the top of the lane.
