castletonThe villages in the Hope Valley, including Castleton with its Norman castle and caverns are well described in http://www.cressbrook.co.uk/hopev/

The house and cottages are located on the flank of Win Hill about a mile from the village of Hope. They are surrounded by fields and moorland, and all around there is superb walking country, but within easy reach of many tourist attractions, and with the city of Sheffield less than half an hour's drive away. There is a direct train service from Hope station to Sheffield and to Manchester.
